We're currently working on building a list of things to help you out. We want to make this as easy and inexpensive as possible for you. Coming soon will be info on hotels, airlines, transportation in Seattle, and weekend activities.

For the moment, note the wedding is on a Sunday. We'd suggest spending a few days in Seattle touring the sights - there are a billion things to do and see in the city and the surrounding areas. I compiled a couple of suggestions last year that you may find helpful. At a minimum, we'd love it if you could arrive sometime on Friday and depart on Monday. We hope to have some weekend activities planned for all out-of-towners.  We would suggest arriving earlier or staying later, but that's up to you.

Hotels

There aren't a lot of hotels within walking distance of our venue, unfortunately. To make it worse, it appears that the University of Washington begins classes on September 27, thus any close hotels are already booked with UW parents. We may have to branch out to non-walking-distance hotels, which will open up a whole bunch of possibilities.

If price is a concern, we recommend looking at Priceline or Hotwire for hotel savings. You get to pick your dates, city region, hotel star rating, and price; they pick your hotel. We've had success with Priceline before. Also scan the usual suspects: expedia, travelocity, orbitz, hotels.com.

Limited room availability. Get your Seattle experience right here. This is our recommended Premier hotel for the wedding. It is 0.8 miles away from the wedding venue. Mention you are here for the Goodier-Evans wedding and ask for the special event price.
Quality Inn and Suites	$109	http://www.choicehotels.com/ 225 Aurora Ave North Very close to the Space Needle and other downtown tourist hotspots.  3.0 miles from wedding venue. This is a good Budget hotel for the wedding.  Moderately priced but still a good location. You won't find much cheaper in the downtown-ish area.
Hilton Bellevue	$109	http://www.hilton.com/ 300 112th Avenue SE, Bellevue, Washington, United States 98004-6412 Formerly the Doubletree Suites hotel Located on the Eastside, which means across Lake Washington from Seattle.  This is where we live - the hotel is about 2 miles from our condo.  It's about 9.4 miles from the wedding venue, but you have to cross Lake Washington, which is never easy during rush hour traffic. $11 parking, dunno about breakfast. This rate is a special one for our wedding. If you want to be close to us, this would be a good choice.
Red Lion Hotel	$65	http://www.redlion.com/ 11244 Tukwila International Blvd., Seattle, WA 98168 It's cheap. That's about all it has going for it. It's 12 miles away from the wedding venue and in the middle of a business/industrial area. The commute won't be fun, but it's a fine hotel and certainly the cheapest you'll find in this whole area, if price is your biggest concern.
Others
University Inn	$100-$150	http://www.universityinnseattle.com/ very close to wedding venue (< 0.8 miles), same owners as Watertown but a bit cheaper, free breakfast, free parking. Limited availability (more so than Watertown).  May be booked solid for our weekend.
